A+O Sandro di Gangi CV

A+O ARCHIOPERAIO is a body which promotes experimental research and development activities within the field of social sciences.
The focus of such activities is represented by the working-class areas (i.e. "aree operaie" - AO) present within developing Countries, as well as degraded areas inside the more economically developed nations. Working-class areas (i.e. "aree operaie" - AO) are here meant to describe those social and geographical contexts which lack the necessary stability to establish independent and viable economic systems; AO is indeed also related to areas rich of unexploited potential.
From a geographical point of view, the areas of fundamental interest for the A+O ARCHIOPERAIO activity are as follows: the eastern African (Africa Orientale - AO) territories, the European regions defined as "objective 1" (i.e. areas where the lack of development requires infrastructural interventions and support to the economic system in order to reach European standards), and the Balkan region. This research activity involves the analysis of the historical factors which have led to the current status in the contexts of interest. The research aims to identify solutions that can make a positive contribution to the life of those communities which live in a specific area and determine its very nature. Furthermore, the experimental development of the order inside urban and environmental spaces has also been a subject of interest, through the study on the measuring of different fish species. An urban or environmental anatomy can indeed be translated into ontological anatomy (AO), a measure of space and part of the science of being.
Research and experimental development are aimed at :

gaining the necessary knowledge for an understanding of the difficulties experienced by the developing Countries,

acquiring evaluation tools through the dialogue with people and Institutions,

identifying and understanding a methodological behaviourism in each of the contexts analysed,

enabling a synthesis of the complex issues that characterise a specific context,

supporting the development process by pulling together competencies and relevant expertise which can then be translated into viable solutions,

providing an indication of the work needed to identify possible solutions.

This activity is intended to provide a cultural baggage and a means of intervention to promote the widespread of the knowledge acquired. Research and experimental development in the field of social sciences should be envisaged as a way of communicating between different diplomacies, hence facilitating relationships between people and their governmental institutions.

A+O ARCHIOPERAIO is an activity promoted and carried out personally by Sandro Di Gangi, who currently offers consultancy to research Institutions, governmental planning Institutions in Italy and abroad, international aid organisations and non-governmental organisations. This activity should transform into a research institute to engage researchers and intellectuals coming from the Countries that are the subject of interest and analysis. This would allow for individual competencies and expertise to come together, united by sharing a common perspective.
