LAAP is a professional association created in 2001 by the architects Sandro Di Gangi and Antonino Palazzolo. LAAP deals with:
- town planning,
- development of renewable resources,
- environmental analysis and management.
LAAP professional activities are spread mainly trough the praxis of Trustee Assignment (Incarico Fiduciario), Law 109/94 article 17 and trough the partecipation in International Competitions in Architecture and Urban.
LAAP offers a technical support for national and Regional Wildlife Parks, for Local and Provincial Councils. LAAP also offers creative and practical support for research funding instruments, for local development actions, for urban renewal projects, for landscape analysis and interpretation.
LAAP activity in the field of environmental improvement has been taken account by these university departments: Hydraulic
Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Animal Biology, Engineers and Agroforestry ITAF.
LAAP, also, avails itself of constant partnerships with Associations of Environmental Offices: Doc. Biologist Bruno Zava’s “Wilderness” and Doc. Ecologist Giuseppe Filiberto’s GREEN FUTURE-Observatory of industrial and landscape ecology.
Together with the town planning, LAAP deals with VIA Processes (Verification of Environmental Impact), Technical Testings, Technical and Economic Advices, Research and Experimental Studies about the Planning for developing Countries in Eastern Africa.
Particular importance have the experiences in the field of waste disposal and water purification, together with the projects related to photovoltaic and eolian power systems. LAAP follows, in fact, all the phases connected to the production of renewable energy: from the stage of researching suitable lands, to the stage of constraints screening, to the stage of project and site management.
